Wii Just Dance!

Didn't get a YMCA membership yet (going to a different one tomorrow with a ROCK CLIMBING WALL!!) But my neighbor Stephanie did introduce me to Wii Just Dance! It was really fun and a great workout. I know I looked like a retard (yeah Rush Limbaugh and I are allowed to use that term) but I was glad to sweat and dance. Didn't get pictures, but I will next time I promise. I know you all are dying to see my fat jiggle to Blondie and MC Hammer!

Fun Day at Eileen's

Lucas Olivia and I went to Toano today to visit John and my confirmation sponsor Eileen, who is also Lucas' Godmother, and soon to be Olivia's too! They have a beautiful home in Toano, full of fun and cute kids who thoroughly entertain all of us. We had fun all day and Olivia didn't whine too much. Lucas wasn't even really scared--he was excited to play with everyone! Thank you all for a nice day.*

Lucas and Madison playing on the stairs

Eileen burping Olivia--who really just liked looking around the place (and who wouldn't)

So much to play with so little time!

Lucas knows how to nicely pet the baby--so cute!

Check out how flexible Eileen's son Peter is! I used to be able to do that too.

Playing with Landon and Daniella!

They built a little bowling lane with the blocks--Lucas was really into it

Peter is a pretty cool dude

Eileen's mom Vicki put Olivia in this swing--she liked it for a while!

Peter the photographer took this pic of their Last Supper puzzle. They were planning on framing it, but some pieces were missing! They will probably re-order it from the manufcturer.

Out of nowhere, Lucas started playing a cute peek-a-boo game with Eileen!

Madison trying to read poetry to Lucas :)

Listening to Peter play an original on their beautiful grand piano

Thanks for being such a good role model and for all of your hospitality. We had a lot of fun and hope to do it again soon!

Lucas likes Plums

I have been cutting one up every day for him and he really loves them-- I am glad someone is eating them because I bought a huge pack of them from Costco and I don't really like them. Look how cute he is while eating them:

He actually is a pretty good eater; he eats most anything we give him, but he really seems to like vegetables and fruits. I have also been giving him my leftover breastmilk instead of freezing it since it probably will never be used anyway--so he's REALLY regular lol.

Olivia Starts to Smile

This yesterday when her poop defied gravity and went up her back...had to give her a bath. She is trying to talk and smiling a little bit:

Femininininity

I am trying to be more feminine. John and I had a "discussion" a few months ago about how we see each other, and he said he doesn't see me as 'dainty' since I am as tall as him. I told him I don't see him as very manly either, but it's not because of his height! lol. Anyway, since then I have been attempting to be more feminine--I had always prided myself on the fact that I wasn't high maintenance. I rarely went to a salon, never got my nails done, never went tanning, rarely wore perfume, and only occasionally shaved my legs lol. Plus, I have a sense of humor that really enjoys being dorky/offensive (i.e. toilet humor) in front of John. It's entertaining! And anything I buy cosmetic-wise is the cheapest/best deal. I always thought John was grateful I wasn't spending loads of money on clothes and girly stuff--and he was. But he said he would now rather me be girly, than frumpy and always wearing his clothes. While I am still a bargain shopper, I want to constantly be endeavoring to improve myself and my marriage. So along with my weight loss attempt, I am going to be more 'girly' for my husband :). So Dr. Laura of me huh?

On that note, I went to Ulta again a few days ago. A lot of the store is overpriced, but they do have some good deals and coupons. I bought their brand Mascara, eyeliner and lipgloss, used a $3.50 off coupon, and since I spent $17, I got a FREE 15 PC SET! It's worth $88. I thought it was pretty cool-and the bag was included. Haven't really checked out how the products look on me, but so far I think it's a deal.

John bought me those flowers last week (and they do have my fav lillies!)--he's doing his part to be more manly too-helping me more with the babies and house stuff. :) Thank you Johnny.

Weight Loss Blog?

Speaking of challenges, I am using my blog-hobby to motivate me to get my body back in shape. Or rather, in shape since it never really was what it could've been. I am starting a new and separate weight loss blog (hopefully it's true to it's name...) but I am going to make it private to begin with since I will probably be embarassed of the stats and pics I will undoubtedly post. If you'd like to be invited to the exclusive club to view it, let me know in a comment/email/whatever.
I figure, if other people are checking it, I will have to make progress. I have a few other friends who have done their own weight loss blogs, and hopefully we can spur each other onto keeping permanent healthy habits in our lifestyles.
I love watching Celebrity Fit Club, and wish I had a personal Harvey Walden to yell at me! Any advice is appreciated.
however unrealistic the goal, this picture of Katherine Mcphee is totally motivation:

Some pics from Game Night

These are from last weekend's game night:

Lucas loves playing with all of Alex's toys!

Shawna and I went out to buy some beer for them, and some wine for us--we left all 4 babies with them...and they're all okay! I was carrying Alex on my back and then decided to sit on him. (He's okay.)

The cutest baby couple!
John left tonight for a few weeks again. I am trying to keep on top of things here and make him proud. These babies keep me on my toes; I can no longer be lazy. But I am motivated to do more for my family every time he leaves--I like to consider it a challenge to do better.

Starting to like this girl more...

She's been more quietly awake lately and somewhat smiling when I talk to her. Let's hope she continues to not cry every second she's awake!
Will post some video of her soon.

The Newport News Park

There is a really nice park in Newport News that John and I used to go to when we first moved here. We didn't know but we were only seeing a small portion of it all this time! Here are some old pictures when we rented bikes to ride through their 5 mile trail, and we also rented paddle boats a few times. These are from 2007:

But if you drive down a little further, there is an entrance for the campsite. Every Christmas they have a really cool drive thru "celebration of Lights" which we didn't go to because it costs $10...but we should've! Anyway, down that path, there are many picnic areas, and boating docks, and great playgrounds which Lucas is just starting to enjoy. He loved seeing the sea gulls on the dock, and playing with the leaves. He also already seems to have had a crush on a little girl! Olivia pretty much slept in her new carrier. Very nice park! Can't wait for it to really warm up and be outside all day! :
