I had my OBGYN appt today, and John was home early enough to come along. I am technically 38wks tomorrow. There was a little sugar in my urine, probably due to the fact that I have been drinking so much orange juice (we just stocked up on it from Costco and it's so good!) but my blood pressure was okay, and I haven't gained weight in the past week so it's not of any concern. She checked my cervix again today, and I am
2cm dilated, and the baby's head is at -1 station--here's the drawing to help you see what that means...her head is very close to being out of the cervix, and into the birth canal!
The doctor said that I will see her next monday if I am still pregnant! I said Thursday is in my mind because it's a full moon-she laughed. She said that if I am still pregnant at 39 weeks they will start considering a day to induce me. Funny how certain doctors are very against induction, and some are eager to induce without real necessity. Either way, I am ready to get her out of me and get my body back to normal!

You are making progress!!!! You could always have her on Saturday...it is a good day to have your bday on! :)
haha! but you won't even be here to share a bday cake! I think anyday soon will be a fun bday--new years eve, new years day, your bday, johns bday, susan's bday, johns grandma's bday...or tonight lol. I might go for a walk again and see what happens. I was hoping to be further dilated :( I think I am ready for the pain now! (i say that now...)

thanks! It will be cool to have them both in the same year--and people will probably think they are twins. I am excited for it all to start, but i will really miss lucas...he cant go in the hospital since the swine flu scare :(
