Shawna had her second baby boy, Jacob Andrew on Tuesday--he weighed 9 lbs 8 oz and measured 21.5 inches long. We finally got to meet him last night when John and I volunteered to make Jim, Shawna, and her parents dinner and bring it over to their house. We bought a new grill yesterday and quickly put it together to make them some steaks, sausages and I made brown rice, sweet potato tempura, zuchinni and yellow squash, whole grain wheat rolls, and baked beans. John made the steaks very good, and didn't overcook mine! He likes his steak more well done than I do.
It was a nice dinner and fun to talk about all of our birthing experiences--me shawna and her mother too! It was so odd to hold Jacob, who feels weightless compared to Lucas now--and we will soon have another tiny little baby to hold like that. Made me excited and anxious!
