We went over to our friend's Jim & Shawna's house to play with their adorable (almost) 2 year old Alex, and then to play a board game. Last time we played Scrabble and ate some pasta with alfredo sauce. This time we ate Papa John's and played a new game (for us---they are pros at it!) called "The Cities & Knights of Catan". It was a very strategic game, and complicated to learn, but very fun! It was basically teaching the concepts of capitalism lol. I would recommend it, but you have to play with people who can teach you everything- it's a lot to keep track of. John in fact ended up winning of course lol.

I don't have the attention span to learn strategic games like that :/
I played Settler's of Katan once around Christmas time when Brandon's family was all together. I learn fast and am secretly crazy competitive (okay maybe I'll show it occasionally:) Most of the family played and a lot were considering themselves winners before we even got started. Ethan was a baby at the time so I played the "I'm a Mom not really paying attention, tending to my baby, so I'm no threat" routine. Yes, I won. First time playing too. I just love board games. Brandon doesn't like them much, too bad.
