1 Month Check-up
Toni had her 1 month appt yesterday and has gained 2 lbs :) She is very strong, sleeps well, and hasn't spit up too much so she's awesome. Eustace is jealous, mischievous and excessively drooly, so he's not so awesome. I took him in to see the dr as well, to see if there is something wrong with his mouth muscles since his drooling isn't due to teething, and he gags himself and has this dumb look on his face all the time with his big bottom lip drooping...she said to get him adjusted at a chiro so i'm taking him tomorrow...for now we just put layers of clothing and bibs that he soaks through daily. ick...
This is Toni's big ol' sandal gap. She also has the single palmar creases (both possible markers for down syndrome--look up mosaic down) but the doctor is not concerned as she is not showing any signs of low muscle tone and more than met growth milestones.
The older 2 are still doing ninja warrior, and Lucas is getting stronger and enjoys the class. Olivia is scared of heights and isn't too interested in it so I may drop her. I am checking out American Heritage girls troops in the area to see if she can join. They are a christian version of girl scouts, since Girl Scouts are associated with the likes of the babykillers at Planned Parenthood. There is also a boy's group called Trail Life--hopefully we can make the meetings...depends on who's watching the babies.
We had some friends over for a bbq last weekend--L & O had fun with Gage and Gretchyn and Eustace (both 1 yr old) enjoyed each other's company as well. Emily came with her roommate Chaney and they loved on Toni :)

And daddy ordered himself Shari's berries (we've only ever ordered them for others). He promptly remembered to buy me something for valentine's day (the pretty lillies).

Outdoor Science LLELA
I am considering enrolling L & O in outdoor science homeschool classes this spring so we went to check out where they'd be held. We found out there aren't any on site offices, just a Pavillion outside so the classes will truly be outside. They will go on trails and have picnics. It sounds fun! So Emily joined me and we took a little hike with the whole gang. We saw and heard lots of birds and at the end of the park there is a dam so the water was rushing and we saw all these gulls and huge white pelicans! Was a fun day. I will be registering them for the class soon.
And some extra pics :
